EMMA Ireland drafted and agreed the rules for SPL competitions to be held at EMMA Ireland sanctioned events. This was in response to negative feedback received from competitors when judged by the mainstream EMMA SPL rules in the previous year (2005). The feedback from the competitors this year has been good, and we (EMMA Ireland) believe that the rules in use are the best compromise for competitions in Ireland. However,we do not believe that our rules are necessarily the best for the entire world, but if anybody else wants to run a similar system of rules, feel free. If an individual wants to compete in a mainstream EMMA rules SPL competition, might I suggest any of next years EMMA UK events, and if dB Drag is your bag, I'm sure there will be some of those in GB next year too. To all competitors in all classes of all events, GOOD LUCK!!!
